Too often, organizations approach project management with a "just enough" attitude: Devote just enough planning, just enough resources, just enough time, and just enough support to get a project out the door. In reality, "just enough" is not nearly enough. The result: too little planning, cost overruns, missed delivery dates and dissatisfied customers.
PMC Solutions works with clients to create process driven project results. Using our proprietary process mapping tool inProcess™, we effectively and efficiently develop systematic processes for executing programs and projects. Industry standard scheduling and budget software or a client's own custom tools are then used to streamline project planning, scheduling, reporting and cost analysis. The result: projects that are delivered on time, within budget and with customer satisfaction.
Here's our typical project management support process at a glance:
Project Management Analysis: We begin with a detailed analysis of how your company oversees its projects, in other words, your project management culture and approach. The intricacies of the way your project management organization does business are incorporated into a project management process website.
Process Mapping:Understanding how your programs and projects are executed is a priority for PMCS. Using our proprietary process mapping tool inProcess™, we capture the information from our Project Management Analysis, and the project scope, schedule and budget requirements. Then PMCS will publish the flow of work in a customized process website, within a project portal, so the project team understands how the project will proceed. This will also allow your customers to visualize how the project is being managed.
Reporting:Once the project Scope, Cost and Schedule base-line is approved, PMCS personnel will work closely with the project team to maintain a dynamic reporting system within the portal. Ongoing analysis and reporting provides visual communication necessary for a successful project.
EVMS: Our Federal Governmentcustomers require an implementation of an Earn Value Management System, for analysis, risk management, quality assurance, value engineering and prompt reporting. An EVMS is a systematic approach to the integration and measurement of Scope, Cost and Schedule accomplishments or lack-of in a project or task order.
