In 2009, Beck Disaster Recovery (BDR) was acquired by SAIC. BDR is an organization based out of Maitland, Florida, who specializes in disaster recovery operations and organization in the United States. Their main focus is helping city governments and counties prepare for and respond to natural disasters. Currently, the two organizations are in the process of integrating their processes and personnel in order to better understand how they relate to each other. This integration brings SAIC's 43,000 employees, and an even larger pool of resources, to deliver the best experience and expertise to resolve the most pressing issues.
PMC Solutions, Inc. (PMCS) has been contracted to provide SAIC—BDR with the expertise of Business Process Management Services, as well as the utilization of our proprietary business process mapping tool, inProcess™. PMCS will focus initially on mapping and documenting key processes for SAIC—BDR, that directly relate to the logistics of disaster response, and gradually move towards more sophisticated process improvement efforts.
Further, PMCS will also be aiding SAIC—Albuquerque in their Business Process Management efforts. PMCS Process Analysts will be working with SAIC subject matter experts to help them map, document, and solidify their ISO compliance processes, as well as their internal Business Development Process.
